All Power to the People Black Panther Party Iconic Button Series
The Made History Iconic Button Collection presents the new “All Power to the People” BPP Iconic Button Series:
In the United States, various groups in 1960s used the phrase “Power to the People” as a form of protest against what they perceived as the oppression by the “Establishment.” Though pro-democracy students used it to protest America's military campaign in Vietnam, the term is more intimately associated with the Black Panthers who used the slogan to protest exploitation of the working classes by the elite.
Panthers of the 1960s were not a hate group. Rather, the Panthers believed that working class people of all colors should unite against the socioeconomic exploitative nature of capitalism.
